Route from skill 1 to 300 for Classic Era. Tailoring needs a lot of cloth, an alt that collects cloth helps.

Apprentice: level 5. Journeyman (from skill 75): level 10.
Expert (from skill 150): level 20. Horde: Josef Gregorian (Undercity). Alliance: Georgio Bolero (Stormwind).
Artisan (from skill 225): level 35. Horde: Daryl Stack (Tarren Mill). Alliance: Timothy Worthington (Theramore).

Patterns Bolt of Imbued Netherweave and Netherweave Tunic: Eiin (Shattrath). Imbued Netherweave Tunic: Arrond (Shadowmoon Valley), neutral with The Scryers.
Specialization: quest from level 60 and Tailoring 350.

Ranks from the trainers of the old capitals: Journeyman level 10, Expert 20, Artisan 35, Master 50 (Grand Master 65), Cataclysm 75. MoP (Zen) tailoring is learned from Silkmaster Tsai or any tailoring trainer of the old capitals.
Thread and dyes: tailoring supply vendor next to the trainer (Shift-click, max 20 thread or 10 dyes per purchase). Total: about 59 Coarse Thread (1-75), 43 Fine Thread (Journeyman), 83 Fine Thread, 36 Blue Dye, 10 Bleach, 40 Red Dye (Expert), 20 Silken Thread, 71 Heavy Silken Thread, 20 Red Dye, 5 Orange Dye, 75 Rune Thread (Artisan), 23 Rune Thread (300-350), 38 Eternium Thread (350-425), 100 Eternium Thread (425-500).
Patterns Bolt of Imbued Netherweave and Netherweave Tunic: Eiin (Shattrath), buy them before leaving. Contender’s Silk Cuffs: Esha the Loommaiden (Horde) or Raishen the Needle (Alliance). Imperial Silk can only be made in the Silken Fields.
